Health care institution “Brest regional tuberculosis dispensary” is an organizational-methodic centre providing highly qualified specialized assistance to people having lung diseases and extrapulmonary pathology.

Aim of dispensary – reduction of morbidity and mortality from tuberculosis as well as prevention of further spreading of tubercular infection.

Dispensary has the in-patient department for 260 beds which is divided into 5 departments:

Ist pulmanory-tubercular department (for 75 beds)
IInd pulmanory-tubercular department (for 70 beds)
IIIrd pulmanory-tubercular department (for 60 beds)
IVth department of extrapulmonary tuberculosis (for 55 beds)
dispensary department (for 90 visits per shift)

Dispensary department has:

day in-patient care for 15 beds
physiotherapeutic room
functional diagnostics room
ultrasound room
X-ray

In the HI “Brest regional tuberculosis dispensary” there is:

centralized bacteriological laboratory
clinical diagnostic laboratory

HI “Brest regional tuberculosis dispensary” provides assistance in following areas:

phthisiology including children’s (diagnostics, treatment of lung diseases, consultation of people with pathology of breathing organs)
phthisiology including children’s (diagnostics and treatment of patients with extrapulmonary tuberculosis)
pulmonology (diagnostics, treatment and consultation of people with pathology of breathing organs)
gynaecology (modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of tuberculosis of genitourinary organs:
- hysterosalpingography,
- intravenous urography)
organizational-methodic work consisting of training specialists of the region, organization and conduction of regional, republican seminars on the basis of dispensary, preparation of normative and instructional materials about phthisiology

Saturday- 9.00 - 15.00
Sunday – closed.
